Naturopathic Consultations

Elizabeth currently offers naturopathic consultations both online and face-to-face at her clinic in Taree. For those with limited internet access, we can consult via telephone.

In-person appointments are available on Saturdays at Healing Room in Taree: Shop 4 Macquarie Mall, 81-83 Victoria Street, Taree NSW 2430 (carpark entry from Macquarie Street). Online appointments may also be made for Saturdays. For online appointments, if you are unable to make it a Saturday, please email me direct on edavigdor@gmail.com to arrange another time.

The Taree clinic is also a centre for Acupuncture (Ngaio Richards) and Chiropractic (Terri Soper).

Fees

  • Initial consultation:  $160

  • Follow-up consultation: $100

  • Email query (Between-review follow-up. This is a discussion of queries via email): $50

Please note: Many health funds currently do not give rebates for online consultations, and there is reduced availability for rebates for Naturopathy generally. It is worth asking your individual fund however whether this is likely to change as there is continuing discussion about this.

Booking an online consultation

Complete the online booking form here; choosing ‘initial consultation online’ for your first one, and ‘follow-up online’ for ones after that. If it has been more than two years since your first consult, it is preferable to book an initial consult.

See below ‘What to expect’ for a description of what the fees cover. If there are any issues or concerns regarding booking, please contact me at edavigdor@gmail.com

What to expect

The initial consultation (1hr): $160
The first visit involves a thorough examination of case history. This includes questions about any existing health issues, medical background, family medical history, diet, lifestyle and current medications. Iridology examination is included where appropriate. Where necessary, I may suggest a referral to your GP to follow up on particular health issues. It is helpful to send through any recent blood test results prior to consultation.

Following the consultation, dietary recommendations will be made, a herbal medicine may be prescribed, and any identified nutritional deficiency taken into account and discussed.

Regarding supplementation, I tend to err on the side of caution and will only recommend what is absolutely necessary for supporting you through both acute and chronic conditions, while aiming to help you achieve your best health through dietary and lifestyle change over time.

The follow-up review (30 minutes): $100

This may be scheduled at the first consultation, and is important to assess response to the prescription and gain feedback. At this time, if a herbal medication has been prescribed it is likely to be adjusted in response to any changes.

From experience, I have found that it is at this time that significant change is starting to take place and we can feel confident that there is a shift in the process towards achieving your best health. Of course this varies from person to person, and for some people it is a faster process, for some slower. As a general rule of thumb, the longer a problem has been there, the longer it will take to shift. But even if it takes months, you should expect to see progress along the way. Sometimes it is a case of “two steps forward, one step backwards”, especially when addressing a chronic condition that has been there for many years. It is important that I am made aware of changes that may necessitate a review and change of prescription, so that you are receiving the best possible attention that I can give to you, and so that we can work together for the best results.

Email between-review questions: $50

There are times when you may need to ask a burning question, between consultations. Each time I am asked a question, for duty of care, I refer to my notes and need to give a considered answer. Having an email access when these questions come up can be useful and helps to keep things on track where a full review may not be required at that point. If however it is time for a review of herbal medicine prescription, then it is best to have a follow-up review.
